WESTWOOD, Mass. The Holy Cross women's lacrosse team fell to Boston College, 18-6, on Saturday afternoon in Holy Cross' season-finale. With the loss, the Crusaders conclude the season with a 5-11 overall record, while the Eagles improve to 6-8 overall. Senior Nikki Bolduc (Stratham, N.H.) and sophomore Ali Baird (Wilbraham, Mass.) each scored two goals to lead the Crusaders.

Senior Cashel Scanlon (Bethesda, Md.) had one goal and one assist for Holy Cross, while sophomore Katie Gardner (Garden City, N.Y.) scored one goal. Seniors Amy Archambault (West Hartford, Conn.) and Kristine Corkum (Ipswich, Mass.) each had one assist.

Boston College was led by Jenna McCabe's four goals and one assist for five points.

The Eagles scored the first five goals of the game before Bolduc and Gardner scored to make the score 5-2. The two teams then traded goals twice as Boston College took a 7-4 lead into half time. Bolduc and Baird scored for Holy Cross as Archambault assisted on Baird's goal.

Boston College started the second half with three straight goals to increase its lead to 10-4. Baird then scored off an assist by Scanlon to make it a 10-5 game. After a goal by the Eagles, Scanlon scored to make it 11-6. Corkum had an assist on Scanlon's goal. The Eagles then scored the last seven goals of the game for the 18-6 final score.

Holy Cross freshman goalie Amy Martin (Bloomfield, Mich.) made eight saves, while Katie Monaghan made 11 saves in 48:47 for Boston College and Courtney Zwirko made one save in 11:13. Holy Cross had 14 draw controls and Boston College had 12.
