A three-time All-Patriot League selection, center fielder Austin Masel has been one of the best and most consistent players in the conference in recent years, and leaves Holy Cross with his name all over the school record books.
As a senior, Masel led the Patriot League with 21 hits and ranked second with a batting average of .344. He is a career .311 hitter, and despite an early end to time at Holy Cross, he ranks fourth in career program history in fielding percentage (.993), sixth in hits (191), tied for 10th in RBI (95) and tied for 10th in triples (eight).
Masel was also named the Patriot League Rookie of the Year and a Freshman All-American in 2017. He is one of only four Holy Cross players to be a three-time All-Patriot League selection, and is the only player in school history to earn All-Patriot League honors as a freshman, sophomore and junior.
Masel (Stoneham, Mass.) graduated Holy Cross with a degree in economics. He has earned Academic All-Patriot League and Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selections in his career.
