WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior forward Lauren Manis has been named the ckSmithSuperior Crusader of the Week, for competition from November 4-10. Manis led the Holy Cross women's basketball team in competition at Illinois on Saturday in its season opener.

During the 78-75 overtime loss to the Fighting Illini, Manis totaled 22 points and 21 rebounds for the Crusaders. She broke the school single-game record for rebounds, while posting the 39th double-double of her collegiate career. The performance also marked the second time Manis has recorded 20 points and 20 rebounds in the same game, as she previously accomplished the feat against Navy on Feb. 7, 2018.

Over the course of her Holy Cross career, Manis has now totaled 1,483 points, 865 rebounds, 153 assists, 121 steals and 99 blocked shots.

The Crusaders (0-1 overall) return to action on Wednesday, Nov. 13, when they play host to Boston College at 7:00 p.m.
