WORCESTER, Mass. – Freshman Joe Metzger of the Holy Cross men’s track and field team has been selected as the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week for April 17 – April 23.
On Saturday, April 22, Metzger competed at the Holy Cross Invitational for the one and only home meet of the season. He broke a 63-year-old school record in the shot put with a mark of 15.71m. The previous record was set by Vin Promuto in 1960 at 15.46m.
The Holy Cross track and field teams will travel to North Easton, Mass. to compete in the Skyhawk Invitational, hosted by Stonehill on Saturday, April 29.
