Junior Chris Barone of the Holy Cross men’s track and field team has been chosen as the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week for Feb. 20 -Feb. 26.

Barone competed at the Patriot League Championship in Annapolis, Md. on Feb. 25 and 26. He broke the school record in the 60 meter dash prelims with a time of 6.89. The previous record was set by Kalif Raymond in 2016 at 6.92. Barone had tied that time earlier in the season, but claimed the record for himself on Saturday. 
 
Barone went on to earn a bronze medal in the 60 meter dash finals on Sunday. He has qualified for the IC4A Indoor Championship meet later this week.

Holy Cross will travel to Boston, Mass. where qualifying Crusaders will compete in the IC4A Indoor Championship on March 3 through 5.
