WORCESTER, Mass. – Freshman Megan Moran has been named the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week, for competition from April 27-May 3. Moran broke the program record in the 3,000m steeplechase, posting a time of 10:56.91 to finish fourth at the Jay Carisella / Joe Donahue Coaches Invitational. 

Her time surpassed previous record holder Caitlin Tzimorotas '21's mark of 11:16.18 by over 19 seconds. Moran now holds the school records in both the 2,000m and 3,000m steeplechase events. She set the 2,000m steeplechase record earlier this season at the Jim Kavanagh Legacy Invitational with a time of 7:20.91. Moran currently ranks 11th overall in the Patriot League in the 3,000m steeplechase and is the second highest ranked freshman.

The Crusaders return to action at the 2026 Patriot League Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. Competition will take place from Friday, May 15 to Saturday, May 16.
