WORCESTER, Mass. – Sophomore Josh Gentchos has been named the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week, for competition from March 30-April 5. Gentchos broke the school record in the men’s 100m dash and tallied top ten finishes in the 100m and 200m at the UConn Dog Fight Challenge on Saturday, Apr. 4.

While competing in Storrs, Gentchos broke the program record with a time of 10.50 in the 100m dash, placing seventh overall at the meet. Gentchos is tied for third in the Patriot League in the 100m so far this season.

Gentchos also finished second in the 200m at UConn, clocking in a time of 21.69.

The Crusaders will split again next weekend, competing either in the two day Tufts Jumbo Invitational from Friday, Apr. 10 through Saturday Apr. 11, the Friar Invitational on Apr. 10, or the UMass Commonwealth Invitational on Saturday, Apr. 11.
