Junior forward Declan Ryan of the Holy Cross men’s basketball team has been named the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week for competition from December 29-January 4.
 
Ryan appeared in two games off the bench for the Crusaders averaging 11.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game shooting 55.0 percent (11-for-20) from the field across 19.3 minutes per game.
 
In the 65-58 win over Bucknell on Dec. 31, Ryan matched a career-high with 14 points on 63.6 percent (7-for-11) shooting with a personal-high matching five rebounds across 20 minutes of action. He also set a new single-game career-high with seven field goal conversions.
 
He followed that up with nine points, four rebounds and two assists in 19 minutes off the bench at home against Navy on Jan. 3.
 
In 2025-26, Ryan is averaging career-highs in scoring (5.5), rebounding (2.7) and minutes per game (12.5).

Holy Cross (6-9, 1-1 PL) hits the road to face Lehigh (4-11, 0-2 PL) on Wednesday, Jan. 7 at 6 p.m. Alumni can register for the Bob Cousy ’50 Court dedication and the 125th Anniversary of Holy Cross men’s basketball celebration on Winter Homecoming Weekend before Feb. 5. Single-game tickets for Holy Cross men’s basketball are on sale through the Holy Cross Ticket Office.
