Senior Celia Kulis of the Holy Cross women’s track & field team won the pentathlon at Friday’s Dartmouth December Invitational and has been named the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week for competition during the week of Dec. 8-14.

This marks the second time in her career that Kulis has received the award after she previously accomplished the feat for the week of Apr. 8-14, 2024.

Kulis won the pentathlon with 3,457 points as she posted a top-three finish in all five events including victories in the 60 meter hurdles (8.64) and 800 meters (2:40.25). The Wilmington, Mass., native entered the final event, the 800 meters, in second place before overtaking Fleur Balogh of UMass Lowell in the overall standings to capture her first career pentathlon title.

The Crusaders will return to action on Saturday, Jan. 17 for the URI Invitational that will get underway at 11 a.m.
