Junior Zach Bubonovich of the Holy Cross men’s swimming and diving team has been named the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week for Oct. 21-27.

Bubonovich helped lead the Crusaders to a 171.5-126.5 victory on Friday in their home opener against Iona. He brought home first place in three individual events. Bubonovich finished first in the 100-yard breaststroke (58.09), dominated the 200-yard breaststroke (2:09.21) beating the next closest athlete by four and a half seconds, and took first in the 200-yard individual medley (1:59.38) winning by one second. 

The Crusaders will compete against Bryant this coming weekend with the diving events taking place in Worcester on Friday, Nov. 1 at 6 p.m. and the swimming events following at Bryant on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 10 a.m.
