Junior goaltender Brooke Ross has been named the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week for competition from Oct.10-16. Ross helped lead the Holy Cross field hockey team to a 2-1 victory over Colgate and a 1-0 shutout victory against Long Island.

During the match against LIU, Ross made 11 saves to shut out the Sharks in double-overtime. She remained in the cage the entire game, nearly 80 minutes, and made several crucial saves to hold Long Island scoreless. Ross also made three saves against Colgate to aid in their second Patriot League win of the season.

Holy Cross field hockey (6-8 overall, 2-2 Patriot League) returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 22, when they travel to face Lehigh at noon.
