Sophomore Abbie Lane of the Holy Cross volleyball team has been chosen as the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week for October 24-October 30.
Lane recorded two double-doubles this past weekend helping the Crusaders to a 1-1 mark. She totaled 25 kills (3.13 K/S), 26 digs (3.25 D/S), three blocks, three aces, two assists while hitting .203 and only being charged with one reception error over a team-high 54 attempts (.981).
In the 3-1 victory against Bucknell, Lane recorded a match-high 14 kills with 15 digs, two blocks and two aces hitting .268 in the process. On Saturday, Lane added a match-best 11 kills to go with 11 digs and a block. Lane has double-digit digs in eight of her last 10 matches.
During the 2022 season, Lane has appeared in 21 matches leading Holy Cross in kills (175), kills per set (2.46), ranking second in digs (199), digs per set (2.80) and third in service aces (19).
The Crusaders hit the road this weekend for two matches, the first with Patriot League opponent Colgate Friday at 6 p.m.
