Senior quarterback Joe Pesansky of the Holy Cross football team is the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week for Sept. 30 to Oct. 6. 

Pesansky had a stellar performance as he paced the Crusaders to a 38-7 victory over Colgate in Holy Cross’ Patriot League opener. He completed 25 of his 28 pass attempts for a completion percentage of .893 — the second-highest single-game completion percentage in program history, and the highest since the 1968 season. 

In total, Pesansky connected with senior receiver Justin Shorter for four touchdowns, and finished the game with 289 passing yards. 

Pesansky ranks seventh among all FCS players with 1,362 total passing yards this season. He additionally ranks sixth in yards per passing attempt (9.46) and ninth in yards per completion (14.65). 

The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, Oct. 12 with a Homecoming and Ram-Crusader Cup matchup against Fordham. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Fitton Field. Tickets can be purchased on the Holy Cross ticket website or by calling 1-844-GO-CROSS.
