Sophomore Rachel Johnson of the Holy Cross volleyball team has been selected as the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week for Sept. 4-Sept. 10.

Johnson paced the team in kills (37, 3.70 K/S) and points (42) while adding 22 digs (2.20 D/S), four total blocks and three service aces across three starts last week. In the victory against Merrimack, Johnson recorded a contest-best 16 kills with nine digs, a block and an ace.

Johnson has recorded double-digit kills in seven of the first nine games. She is currently the team leader in points (117) and aces (12) and is second on the team in kills (98) and digs (85). On the Patriot League leaderboards, Johnson ranks fourth in points, fifth in kills, tied for eighth in aces, and ninth in digs.

The Crusaders (3-6) open Patriot League action this weekend at Lafayette (3-4) with first serve slated for 7 p.m.
