WORCESTER, Mass. – Sophomore Charlie Nascimben has been named the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week, for competition from Nov. 8-14. Nascimben led the Holy Cross men's swimming and diving team to a 159-134 victory over Maine in its only meet last week.
 
During Saturday's win over the Black Bears, Nascimben recorded first-place finishes in three different individual events. He won the 100-yard breaststroke (59.63), the 200-yard breaststroke (2:14.64) and the 200-yard individual medley (1:59.77). He also swam the anchor leg on the Crusaders' 200-yard medley relay team, which finished second in a time of 1:38.12.
 
On the season, Nascimben owns the fastest times on the team in the 100-yard breaststroke (59.21), the 200-yard breaststroke (2:21.04) and the 200-yard individual medley (1:57.37).
 
The Crusaders (1-3 overall, 0-1 Patriot League) will return to action this weekend, when they take part in the Harold Anderson Invitational in Kingston, R.I., from Nov. 19-21.
