WORCESTER, Mass. – After a successful 2013 season in which the Holy Cross baseball team claimed the Patriot League regular-season title, the Crusaders will send 17 players to compete in 11 summer baseball leagues across the country. Headlining the group are sophomore pitcher Donny Murray (Walpole, Mass.) and junior outfielder Brandon Cipolla (Abington, Mass.), who are playing in the Cape Cod Baseball League for the Falmouth Commodores.

Four Holy Cross players will play in the New England Collegiate Baseball League this summer. They are junior infielder/pitcher Mike Ahmed (East Longmeadow, Mass.), junior pitcher Jeremy Perron (Bradenton, Fla.), sophomore outfielder Evan Ocello (Camarillo, Calif.) and freshman pitcher Colin Brown (Sonoma, Calif.). Sophomore utility player Bobby Pease (Billerica, Mass.) and freshman first baseman Shane Sandoval (Westerly, R.I.) will play in the Midwest Collegiate League, while freshmen Connor Perry (Haverhill, Mass.) and Bobby Indeglia (North Kingstown, R.I.) will compete in the Perfect Game Collegiate League.

Junior second baseman Andrew Barry (Puyallup, Wash.) will play in the Great Lakes League, while freshman infielder Nick Lovullo (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) will compete in the California Collegiate League. Junior right-hander Nate Walker (San Diego, Calif.) will pitch in the Northwoods League, while sophomore Ryan Filipowicz (Yardley, Pa.) will play in the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League. Freshmen pitchers Jake Comment (Westbrook, Conn.) and Sean Gustin (Stoneham, Mass.) will play in the MINK League and Intercity Baseball League, respectively. Sophomore utility player Jack St. Clair (Newton, Mass.) will play in the Futures Collegiate League.
