Holy Cross student-athletes set a new standard in the classroom during the Spring 2026 semester, with a department grade-point average of 3.45 during the term. 

The 3.45 GPA is the highest on record in department history, breaking the previous record of 3.43 set during the Spring 2025 term.  

Sixty-three student-athletes finished the semester with a perfect 4.0 GPA. In total, 384 student-athletes recorded a 3.5 or better, with 572 athletes posting above a 3.0. 

A total of 15 teams averaged a 3.5 GPA or better. Women's basketball had the best team GPA of any program last semester, with a 3.74; men's soccer had the highest GPA for a men's team at 3.64.

This also marks the fourth consecutive semester in which every Holy Cross team has recorded a 3.0 GPA or better; Fall 2024 was the first time since 2016 that every Holy Cross team recorded a GPA above 3.0 during a single semester (excluding a COVID-impacted Spring 2020). For 32 consecutive semesters, Holy Cross student-athletes have averaged above a 3.1 GPA.
