WORCESTER, Mass. — Holy Cross field hockey freshman Marianna MacLean was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week for the third-straight week, as voted on by the Patriot League coaches and announced by the league offices Monday afternoon.

MacLean scored the Crusaders' fourth goal of the game with under two minutes remaining in regulation to cement Holy Cross' first Patriot League win of the season at 4-0. The first year out of Edinburgh, Scotland leads the Patriot League in points (17), is tied for the lead in goals (6), and is tied for second in assists (5).

The last time a Patriot League rookie won three-straight Rookie of the Week awards was in 2016 when Bucknell's Brittany Willwerth won the first three honors of the season.
 
Holy Cross (5-2, 1-0 PL) will return home to the Hart Turf Field on Friday, Sept. 25 when they host Lafayette at 3 p.m.
