WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross senior right-handed pitcher Jaden Wywoda has been named the Patriot League Pitcher of the Week the league offices announced Monday afternoon. It is the second time this season and the fourth time in his career Wywoda has been named the top weekly pitcher.
 
The reigning Patriot League Pitcher of the Year and 2026 Preseason Pitcher of the Year helped lead the Crusaders to a 9-0 victory against Lehigh on Saturday. Wywoda tossed his third career complete game shutout and second of the season, going seven strong innings, scattering three hits, three walks, matching a career-best nine strikeouts while holding opponents to a .120 BAA picking up the victory off a career-high 117 pitches.

Against Lehigh in 2026, he has a pair of complete game shutouts (14 innings pitched), a 0.00 ERA, a 0.79 WHIP and 18 strikeouts. Wywoda leads the NCAA in complete games (4) this season.

One of the best pitchers in program history, Wywoda tied former teammate Danny Macchiarola (196, 2023-2025) for third place on the career strikeout list, he needs four more strikeouts to become only the third pitcher in program history with 200 or more career strikeouts. He also passed Ron Perry Sr. (20, 1952-1954) for fourth place on the program's career win list. He moved to fourth place on the career innings pitched (242.1) and games started (38) list as well.

In 2026, Wywoda ranks second in the Patriot League in BAA (.212), fourth in innings pitched (64.2), fifth in ERA (3.90), fifth in strikeouts (55), and tied for fifth in wins (5). In Patriot League games, is tied for second in wins (4), ranks third in BAA (.207), fourth in innings pitched (44.0), tied for fourth in strikeouts (43), and is sixth in ERA (3.27)

Holy Cross (18-25, 12-10 PL) has clinched a spot in the 2026 Patriot League Tournament Championship. They host Harvard (8-25, 6-12 Ivy) for a mid-week tilt on Tuesday, April 28 at 5 p.m.
