Egrie sets new single-season stolen base record at Dartmouth on Tuesday

HANOVER, N.H. – Senior CJ Egrie established the new Holy Cross baseball single-season stolen base record during a 4-3 loss at non-conference foe Dartmouth Tuesday afternoon at Red Rolfe Field at Biondi Park.

The defeat sends the Crusaders to 16-24 on the year while the Big Green improve to 11-19.

Egrie, who entered the game ranking first in the NCAA in steals per game (1.06) and second in steals (34) went 1-for-4 a pair of steals, his 35th and 36th of 2026 which broke his previous single-season program record that he set in 2025. Egrie is 36-for-37 (97.3 success rate) on stolen bases in 2026 and has 88 career steals. Egrie needs four more thefts to move to third place in Patriot League history.

Freshman Liam Daly tied the game in the seventh inning with an opposite field solo homer, his second of the year.
