Men’s track and field competes in Friar Invitational and UMass Commonwealth Invitational

The Holy Cross women's track and field competed in two meets across this past weekend. Friday, Apr. 10 saw the Crusaders compete in the Friar Invitational at Providence College. Holy Cross on Saturday, Apr. 11 at the UMass Commonwealth Invitational.

FRIAR INVITATIONAL MEET HIGHLIGHTS: 
  • Junior Tristan Miller and sophomore Brendan Rogers placed third and fifth in the 400m with times of 48.30 and 49.15.
  • Sophomore Iain Deboth finished seventh in the 200m with a time of 22.88.
  • Senior Liam Lyons placed second in the 800m with a time of 1:49.88.
  • Sophomore Jack Larkin clocked in a time of 14:51.36 to finish sixth in the 5,000m.
UMASS COMMONWEALTH INVITATIONAL MEET HIGHLIGHTS: 
  • Junior Michel Mondesir and freshman Nic Oglesby placed fifth and sixth in the high jump, both clearing 1.92m.
  • Oglesby also placed fourth in the long jump with a mark of 6.73m.
  • Senior Jack Ryan won the javelin with a throw of 58.23m.
  • Miller placed sixth in the 400m with a time of 48.81.
  • Sophomore Josh Gentchos came in second in the 100m with a time of 10.61. Gentchos also placed fifth in the 200m with a time of 21.89.
  • Junior Matthew Perkins clocked in a time of 14.96 in the 110 hurdles to finish seventh. He also finished fourth in the 400 hurdles with a time of 53.82.
  • The Crusaders finished second in the 4x400m with a time of 3:18.37.

  • The Crusaders will host the second annual Jim Kavanagh Legacy Invitational on Saturday, Apr. 18 at Hart Track.
