Mackenzie Creagh and senior
Racheli Levy-Smith have been honored by the Patriot League for their play last week. In competition from March 2-8, Creagh was named the Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week, while Levy-Smith was selected as the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week. Creagh earns Goalkeeper of the Week honors for second time in her career, while Levy-Smith brings home Defensive Player of the Week honors for the fourth straight week and the sixth time overall.
Creagh went 1-1 in goal last week with 19 saves and six ground balls. She made a season-high 11 saves while allowing just six goals in the 18-7 victory at Lafayette, in addition to recording eight saves at Dartmouth. On the year, Creagh has posted an 11.83 goals against average with 50 saves. Over the course of her collegiate career, she stands 16-13 with 260 saves and a 12.31 goals against average.
Levy-Smith recorded 16 draw controls, seven ground balls and four caused turnovers for the Crusaders last week. She began the week with five ground balls, two caused turnovers and one draw control at Dartmouth, then totaled 15 draw controls, two caused turnovers and two ground balls in the win at Lafayette. Overall this year, Levy-Smith has team-highs of 70 draw controls, 18 ground balls and 19 caused turnovers. In 51 career games played, she has now totaled 354 draw controls, 88 ground balls and 66 caused turnovers.
Holy Cross (3-4 overall, 1-0 Patriot League) returns to action on Saturday, March 14, when it travels to Lehigh for a 12:00 p.m. game.
