Coming off an overtime victory over Colgate, the Holy Cross women's basketball team hosts Army at the Hart Center Arena on Saturday, Jan. 31 at 2 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
Saturday is Autism Awareness Day and Military Appreciation Day.
This marks the second game of a three-game homestand for the Crusaders who will also host Boston Univ. on Monday, Feb. 2. Tickets for all remaining regular season home games are on sale through the Holy Cross ticket office.
THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT HOLY CROSS (12-8, 6-3 Patriot League):
- Holy Cross outscored Colgate by a 15-5 margin in the extra session and notched the 60-50 win over the Raiders on Wednesday evening at the Hart Center Arena.
- The Crusaders began overtime on a 9-0 run and sank 11-of-14 from the charity stripe during the period to secure the victory.
- Senior Kaitlyn Flanagan scored 13 of her 17 points between the fourth quarter and overtime to lead Holy Cross, while freshman Asia Wilson added career-highs in both points (10) and rebounds (six). The duo of junior Janie Bachmann and senior Meg Cahalan added eight points apiece.
- Wilson's career-high of 10 surpassed her previous best of seven in a win at Boston College on Nov. 3, 2025.
- Elsewhere for the Crusaders, junior Kendall Eddy tallied five points, four rebounds, three assists, six steals and three blocks. The six steals marked a career-high and were the most in a single game by a Holy Cross player since Avery LaBarbera registered eight against Columbia on Mar. 16, 2022.
- On the season, Eddy ranks second in the Patriot League at 2.2 steals per game and has notched multiple steals in seven of her last eight games.
- Wednesday marked the 10th time in their last 12 games that head coach Candice Green's team has held an opponent under 60 points.
BROWSING THE BLACK KNIGHTS (16-4, 7-2 Patriot League):
- Army notched a 64-55 win at Lehigh on Wednesday as the Black Knights survived a late comeback effort by the Mountain Hawks.
- Lehigh cut the deficit to three at 45-42 with 6:15 to play before Army responded with a 9-2 run to stretch the lead back to nine. The Black Knights were 12-of-14 (85.7%) from the free throw line in the fourth quarter.
- Camryn Tade led Army with 21 points, while Kya Smith added a double-double with 17 points and 16 rebounds.
- The Black Knights have won seven of their last eight entering play on Saturday.
- Smith averages a double-double on the season and leads the team in both scoring (14.2 ppg) and rebounding (10.1 rpg). She leads the Patriot League in field goal percentage at 57.5% and ranks second in rebounding.
- Tade checks in at 13.2 ppg and Reese Ericson sits at 11.0 ppg as Army ranks second offensively with 66.6 ppg.
LAST TIME THEY MET:
- A third quarter run proved to be the difference in the game as Army recorded a 61-46 victory over the Crusaders on Jan. 14 at Christl Arena in West Point, N.Y. Cahalan paced Holy Cross with 15 points in that contest.
- The two teams have split their meetings in each of the last three seasons and the Crusaders hold a 42-36 edge in the all-time series.
