Winners of three straight games, the Holy Cross women's basketball team hosts Boston University on Monday, Feb. 2 at the Hart Center Arena with tip-off slated for 4:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network.
Monday is the Cousy Cup, Turnpike Trophy and Black History Month game presented by Pepsi. Tickets are available through the Holy Cross ticket office link at the top of the story.
THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT HOLY CROSS (13-8, 7-3 Patriot League):
- The Crusaders outscored Army by a decisive 26-10 margin in the fourth quarter en route to a 63-48 victory over the Black Knights on Saturday in Worcester.
- Head coach Candice Green's team closed the game on a 10-0 run and held Army without a point over the final 4:01 of the contest to pull into a tie for second place in the Patriot League standings.
- Army's 48 points marked their second-lowest total of the campaign.
- Senior Mary-Elizabeth Donnelly led Holy Cross with a season-high 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting, while classmate Meg Cahalan had 13 points of her own. The duo of junior Kendall Eddy and senior Kaitlyn Flanagan added 10 points apiece and Flanagan also tallied six rebounds and four assists.
- Donnelly knocked down four threes in the victory, which marked a new career-high.
- On the season, Flanagan leads the conference in assist/turnover ratio (2.2) and ranks second in assists per game (4.0). The senior point guard has 491 career assists, which ranks seventh in program history.
- Fellow senior Simone Foreman enters play on Monday with 715 career rebounds and is seven boards away from entering into the program's top 10 all-time.
TERRIER TIDBITS (7-14, 3-7 Patriot League):
- BU dropped a 62-51 decision versus Bucknell on Saturday as the Bison scored 39 first half points en route to the victory.
- The Terriers shot 45.5% (20-of-44) from the field, but 18 turnovers proved costly in the setback.
- Anete Adler led the Terriers with 12 points and five assists and a total of five players scored six points or more.
- On the season, Adler leads the team in scoring (14.3) and rebounding (6.3) and is also tops on the team and Patriot League in blocks at 1.6 per game. Anastasiia Semenova ranks second on the team in scoring (7.8 ppg) and field goal percentage (47.6%).
- As a team, the Terriers enter play on Monday as the second-best three-point shooting team in the league at 33.8%.
LAST TIME THEY MET:
- Cahalan scored a career-high 25 points and the Crusaders notched a 60-47 victory over BU on Feb. 8, 2025 at the Hart Center Arena.
- The two sides have split regular season matchups in each of the last four seasons and Holy Cross holds a 25-16 advantage in the all-time series.
