The Holy Cross men's basketball team returns to the friendly confines of the Hart Center Arena to take on Lafayette Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 6 p.m. on Bob Cousy '50 Court. The contest will stream live on ESPN+ with Kevin Gehl (play-by-play) and Jacob VanRyn (analyst) on the call.
Wednesday is the Crusaders Black History Month game as well as Winter Olympics Night. Fans can enjoy Olympic themed graphics and items during the game as well as
a special ticket offer for remaining home games.
WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT HOLY CROSS (9-18, 4-10 PL):
- The Crusaders fell in Baltimore to Loyola (Md.) 83-73 on Sunday. Junior guard/forward Gabe Warren dropped a career-high 28 points with a personal-best nine rebounds while freshman forward Aiden Disu added 22 points and six caroms on 64.3 percent (9-of-14) shooting.
- Disu was named Patriot League Honorable Mention on Monday by the conference office. He freshman averaged 21.0 points and 7.0 rebounds on 61.5 percent (16-of-26) shooting going 62.5% (5-of-9) from three-point land for the Crusaders in a pair of games last week.
- Disu is the first Crusader since Gerrale Gates (Jan. 7, 2022-Jan. 22, 2022) to score 20+ points in three straight games. Over his last three games, Disu is averaging team-highs in scoring (21.0) and rebounding (7.7), while averaging 1.0 blocks and 1.0 steals per game on 64.9 percent (24-of-37) from the field and 50.0 percent (5-of-10) from deep.
- Disu, who across 14 Patriot League games ranks tied for fifth in the conference in free throw percentage (85.4, 35-for-41). He is 30-for-33 (90.9 percent) from the line over his last 10 games.
- Holy Cross is the eighth ranked Patriot League team in the 2026 Pomeroy College Basketball Ratings (330th). They rank 310th (100.7) in offensive rating and 318th (116.7) in defensive rating.
SCOUTING THE LEOPARDS (8-19, 5-9 PL):
- Lafayette has lost three of their last four games including a 78-69 setback at home to Lehigh on Saturday. Caleb Williams filled the box score with 26 points, six assists and two rebounds on 9-of-15 (60.0 percent) shooting.
- Williams, a one-time Patriot League Player of the Week is one of the top long range threats in the conference. Williams leads the league in three-point attempts (208), ranks second in three-pointers (72) and second in three-pointers per game (2.7).
- Mark Butler paces the Patriot League and ranks eighth in the NCAA in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.7). He ranks sixth in the conference in assists per game (3.9) and sixth in assists (106).
- The Leopards are the seventh ranked Patriot League team in the 2026 Pomeroy College Basketball Ratings (326th). They rank 334th (98.9) in offensive rating and 284th (114.2) in defensive rating.
LAST TIME THEY MET:
- Holy Cross is 42-39 (.519) in the series history against Lafayette which began back in 1947. Lafayette has won 13 of the last 18 meetings.
- The Crusaders are 26-11 (.703) against the Leopards on Bob Cousy '50 Court.
- In their last meeting on Jan. 17, the Leopards earned a 74-55 win at home. Sophomore guard Tyler Boston scored a team-high 18 points with two boards and a steal in the loss.
