WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross junior forward
Emily Crovo has been named the Hockey East Boston Children's Hospital Player of the Week for competition from January 19-25. Crovo scored two goals as the Crusaders posted a pair of victories over Providence last week.
During Friday's 2-1 win over the Frairs, Crovo scored both of Holy Cross' goals. She opened the scoring with a goal late in the first period, then increased the lead to 2-0 in the second period when she knocked in a rebound. Crovo also played a key role in Saturday's 3-0 victory at Providence.
On the season, she ranks fifth on the team in scoring with 14 points on five goals and nine assists. Over the course of her collegiate career, Crovo has 13 goals and 28 assists for 41 points in 95 games played.
Currently ranked No. 13 in the nation, Holy Cross (18-7-1 overall, 10-6-1 Hockey East) returns to action on Thursday, Jan. 29, when it travels to Boston to take on No. 6 Northeastern at Walter Brown Arena at 7 p.m.
