WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's ice hockey team is ranked 13th in the country this week by USCHO. The Crusaders moved up one spot in this week's poll to the highest national ranking in program history.
The Crusaders received 43 total points in the poll, to place 13th. Holy Cross was joined in the rankings by two other Hockey East teams, No. 6 Northeastern and No. 7 Connecticut.
Holy Cross currently stands 18-7-1 overall and 10-6-1 in Hockey East. The Crusaders have set a new program single-season record for Hockey East victories, while their 18 total wins are their most in nine years. Holy Cross currently leads the nation in penalty kill percentage (93.0 percent), while standing fourth in goals against average (1.45).
The Crusaders will return to action on Thursday, Jan. 29, when they face Northeastern at Walter Brown Arena in Boston at 7 p.m.
