WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross senior goaltender
Brooke Loranger has been named the Stop It Goaltending Goaltender of the Week by Hockey East, for competition from January 5-11. Loranger has now been named the Hockey East Goaltender of the Week twice this season, in addition to earning Hockey East Player of the Week honors once.
During Friday's 3-1 win over Boston College, Loranger picked up the victory for the Crusaders, making 29 saves while allowing just one goal. Her 29 saves were her second-highest total of the season.
On the year, Loranger now stands 5-2-0 with a 1.44 goals against average and a .935 save percentage. Over the course of her collegiate career, she owns a 2.56 goals against average with 1,031 saves and three shutouts.
Holy Cross (15-7-1 overall, 7-6-1 Hockey East) returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 17, when it travels to Boston University for a 4 p.m. game.
