WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's soccer team has announced its team captains for the 2025 season. The five student-athletes chosen to lead the Crusaders are rising juniors Mary Sommer, Karenna Beckstein, Katie Boudreau, Adi Botet as well as rising sophomore Caroline Bierfeldt.
"I'm very excited to announce that we have five captains going forward this year. All five, Mary, Katie, Adi, Karenna and Caroline, have shown tremendous potential for leadership throughout the lengthy process required to apply for this position," said head coach Ben Graham. "Their peers have recognized this and have identified characteristics from all five that will hopefully push our program on to the next level, which is competing for a Patriot League Championship. They will also be complemented by six other teammates who will be part of our leadership council moving forward."
This leadership group has collected many accolades on and off the field prior to being named captains. This squad has pulled in seven Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selections, one Patriot League Rookie of the Week and one Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week recognition.
Rising juniors Allison Tighe, Sofia Scalise and Carina Liberatore, as well as rising sophomore Meredith Zematis, Keilly Quezada and Ava Graham, will join the women's soccer leadership council.
