Multis compete at Carla Coffey Invitational

NORTHAMPTON, Mass.— The Holy Cross track and field teams sent three multi-event athletes to the Carla Coffey Invitational hosted by Smith College from Friday, Apr. 11 to Saturday, Apr. 12.

WOMEN'S MEET HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Junior Celia Kulis clinched second in the heptathlon with 4,294 points. She won the hept. 100m hurdles (13.99), hept. 200m (26.10) and hept. javelin throw (27.40m).
  • Senior Jane Feeney claimed third in the heptathlon with 4,072 points. She won the hept. shot put (11.35m).

MEN'S MEET HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Senior captain Brian Fennelly clinched second in the decathlon with 6,062 points. He won the dec. 400m (51.37), dec. 110m hurdles (14.49) and hept. 1500m (4:46.43).

NEXT UP:

  • The Holy Cross track and field teams will return to action for the Julie LaFreniere Commonwealth Invitational hosted by UMass Amherst in Amherst, Mass. on Apr. 13 at the UMass Track & Field Complex.
