Women's rowing wins two events against UConn, Marist, and Sacred Heart

COVENTRY, Conn. - The Holy Cross women's rowing team faced UConn, Marist, and Sacred Heart on Saturday at Lake Coventry in their second race of the spring.
 
RESULTS:
  • The varsity eight placed third with a time of 7:17.3.
  • The second varsity eight won their race with a time of 7:20.5, over four seconds ahead of second-place Sacred Heart.
  • The varsity four finished second with a time of 8:13.6.
  • The second varsity four won their race with a time of 8:19.7, almost eight seconds ahead of second-place UConn.

FROM HEAD COACH ANDREA LANDRY:
  • "This past week we worked as a program to tighten up our front end execution. We made very intentional efforts through all events today to do just that and we're happy with the progress made. Back to work on Monday! Thank you to Jen and her staff for hosting at UConn." 

WHAT'S NEXT:
  • Holy Cross will return home for their alumnae weekend on April 12, facing Sacred Heart, Smith, and Colgate in their first home race of the spring.
