The Holy Cross men's basketball team hits the road this weekend, traveling to Navy for a 2:00 p.m. game on Sunday, Feb. 23. The contest between the Crusaders and the Midshipmen will be shown live by the Patriot League on ESPN+.
Holy Cross owns an overall record of 13-15 on the year, with a 5-10 mark in the Patriot League. The Crusaders are coming off a 74-69 overtime victory over Lafayette on Wednesday night. Freshman guard
Max Green leads the team by averaging 14.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. Sophomore forward
Joe Nugent has added 11.9 points and 5.4 rebounds per contest, while senior forward
Caleb Kenney is chipping in with 11.3 points, 4.6 boards and 0.9 blocks per game.
Navy stands 10-18 overall this season, including a 7-8 record in the Patriot League. The Midshipmen were defeated by Colgate 79-75 in their last game on Wednesday. Junior guard Austin Benigni has led the team by averaging 18.0 points, 4.3 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game, while hitting 86.8 percent of his foul shots. Junior center Aidan Kehoe has put up 9.5 points and 9.6 rebounds per contest, with sophomore guard Jordan Pennick adding 9.8 points and 3.2 boards per game.
After the contest at Navy, Holy Cross will head to Colgate for a 7 p.m. game on Wednesday, Feb. 26.
