The Holy Cross men's basketball team will play its second straight home game when it faces Colgate this Wednesday, Feb. 12, at 6 p.m. on Big Brothers Big Sisters Night. The contest between the Crusaders and the Raiders will be shown live by the Patriot League on ESPN+.
Holy Cross owns an overall record of 12-13 on the year, with a 4-8 mark in the Patriot League. The Crusaders are coming off a convincing 72-52 victory over Boston University on Saturday. Freshman guard
Max Green leads the team by averaging 14.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. Sophomore forward
Joe Nugent has added 12.0 points and 5.4 rebounds per contest, while senior forward
Caleb Kenney is chipping in with 11.4 points, 4.5 boards and 0.9 blocks per game.
Colgate has an overall mark of 10-15 on the season, including a 7-5 record in the Patriot League. The Raiders defeated Loyola (Md.) 82-68 on Saturday to snap a four-game losing streak. Senior center Jeff Woodward leads the team by averaging 14.7 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game, while hitting 66.2 percent of his field goal attempts. Senior guard Nicolas Louis-Jacques has scored 11.7 points per contest, with sophomore guard Jalen Cox adding 10.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game.
After the contest with Colgate, Holy Cross will travel to Lehigh for a 2 p.m. game on Saturday, Feb. 15.
