Jack Greiner both broke school records, as the Holy Cross men's swimming and diving squad competed in day two of the Harold Anderson Invitational at the Tootell Aquatic Center. Through seven events, the Crusaders stand in first place as a team with 355.5 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Clark won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 20.89, after breaking the school record during the preliminaries with a time of 20.73.
• Greiner set a new school record in the 200-yard individual medley with a first-place time of 1:48.99.
• Junior
Luke Parada added a first-place finish in the one-meter diving with a score of 291.45.
• Other top finishers included freshman
Anderson Bishop (500-yard freestyle / second / 4:36.60), senior
Zach Bubonovich (200-yard individual medley / fifth / 1:53.69), junior
Austin Cutcher (500-yard freestyle / fourth / 4:39.70) and sophomore
Griffin Casey (one-meter diving / second / 290.55).
• Crusaders recording personal best times included Bubonovich (200-yard individual medley / 1:53.63 in prelims), junior
Sullivan Labno (200-yard individual medley / 1:55.76) and senior
Chris Reilly (50-yard freestyle / 23.38 relay lead off).
• In the 200-yard freestyle relay, the team of junior
Jake Thompson, sophomore
Peter Mottolese, freshman
Andrew Villani and Clark took second place with a time of 1:23.17.
UP NEXT:
• Holy Cross will continue competition in the Harold Anderson Invitational on Saturday, Nov. 22.
• Saturday's event include the 100-yard butterfly, the 400-yard individual medley, the 200-yard freestyle, the 100-yard breaststroke, the 100-yard backstroke, the three-meter diving and the 400-yard medley relay.
