The Holy Cross men's basketball team returns home this Saturday, Feb. 1, to face Lehigh at 4:30 p.m. The contest between the Crusaders and the Mountain Hawks will be shown live by the Patriot League on ESPN+. Holy Cross will be holding its annual Coaches vs. Cancer game, in addition to celebrating Healthcare Heroes Day.
Holy Cross owns an overall record of 11-11 on the year, with a 3-6 mark in the Patriot League. The Crusaders are coming off a 69-59 setback at Boston University on Monday. Freshman guard
Max Green leads the team by averaging 14.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game. Sophomore forward
Joe Nugent has added 12.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per contest, while senior forward
Caleb Kenney is chipping in with 10.8 points, 4.3 boards and 0.8 blocks per game.
Lehigh has an overall mark of 7-13 on the season, including a 2-7 record in the Patriot League. In their last game, the Mountain Hawks fell to Navy 79-54 on Wednesday. Senior guard Tyler Whitney-Sidney leads the team by averaging 13.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game, while hitting 47.2 percent of his field goal attempts. Sophomore guard Cam Gillus is also enjoying a solid year, averaging 9.7 points, 3.8 boards and 2.4 assists per contest.
After the game with Lehigh, Holy Cross will head to Army for a 6 p.m. contest on Wednesday, Feb. 5.
