WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross director of golf Steve Napoli has announced the team captains for the upcoming spring 2025 season.
Juniors Lillian Bateman and Caleigh Noonan will lead the Crusaders entering the Spring 2025 season. Both will step into the role for the first time.
"??Since arriving at Holy Cross in the fall of 2022, Lillian and Caleigh have displayed a tireless work ethic and a "team first" mindset," Napoli said. "They stepped up over a year ago to represent the women's golf team on SAAC. The team is looking forward to their leadership next semester both on and off the golf course."
Bateman, a junior from Western Springs, Ill. and is an accounting major. Bateman shot with an average stroke of 84.23 during the Fall 2024 season. At the Navy Fall Invitational (Sept. 28-29), she shot a 158 across two rounds (+14) as well as a 160 across two rounds (+21) at the Crusader Invitational (Oct. 21-22) where the team finished 3rd out of 11 teams. Bateman was named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 years.
Noonan, a junior from Greenville, S.C. who shot an average stroke of 86.50 throughout the Fall 2024 season. Noonan performed her best at the Navy Fall Invitational (Sept. 28-29) where she shot 167 (+23) across two rounds. She was named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 years.
