CLEMSON, S.C. – Sophomore
Sophie Quinones finished in 56th place as an individual, as the Holy Cross women's golf team came in 11th in the Tiger Classic at the John E. Walker Sr. Golf Course.
INDIVIDUAL RESULTS:
• Quinones totaled 160 strokes over two rounds, to finish at 16-over par.
• Senior
Kate Hong and junior
Julianna Megan tied for 60th place, both totaling 163 strokes.
• Rounding out the field for the Crusaders were senior
Caleigh Noonan (65th / 170 strokes), senior
Neve Thanner (69th / 174 strokes) and senior
Phoebe Chamian (70th / 177 strokes).
• Pimchompoo Chaisilprungruang of Charlotte, Juliette Demeaux of Clemson and Neeranuch Prajunpanich of Youngstown State finished in a three-way tie for first at seven-under par (137 strokes).
TEAM SCORES:
• Clemson won the team title with a two-round total of 568 strokes (eight-under par).
• Holy Cross finished with a total of 652 strokes.
UP NEXT:
• The Crusaders return to action when they take part in the Bucknell Fall Invitational at the Bucknell Golf Club in Lewisburg, Pa., from Sept. 5-7.
