CANTON, Mass. — Holy Cross women's golf team competed at the Red Bandanna Invitational hosted by Boston College at the Blue Hill Country Club. The team finished 14th place overall with play concluding on Tuesday, Sept. 24.

Junior Kate Hong, freshman Sophia Cellura and sophomore Julianna Megan all tied as Holy Cross's top finishers coming in a shared 58th place. Each athlete finished the final day of play with a 249 (+33) performance. 

After three rounds of the 54-hole course, the Crusaders finished with a score of 1009 (+145) as a team.

COACH'S CORNER:

• "Sophia Cellura '28 played three solid rounds in her college debut," said director of golf Steve Napoli. "In two events so far this year, we've had seven of our students make the starting lineup, each gathering experience for future tournaments. I'd expect additional students to compete in tournaments this year."

UP NEXT:

• The Crusaders return to action from Sept. 28 through 29 for the Navy Fall Invitational in Annapolis, Md. at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Course.
