VERO BEACH, Fla. – Junior
Julianna Megan claimed 19th place as an individual, to lead the Holy Cross women's golf squad to a sixth-place team finish in the Northern Kentucky Spring Fling at the Sandridge Golf Club.
INDIVIDUAL RESULTS:
• Megan shot 80-80-77 to finish the tournament at 21-over par (237).
• Senior
Tess Breslin came in 21st, posting scores of 84-76-78 (238).
• Freshman
Lily Dessel earned a 27th place finish, shooting 81-78-82 (241).
• Rounding out the field for the Crusaders were senior
Caroline Gola (43rd / 248) and senior
Lillian Bateman (50th / 253).
• Sophia Bardunias of Bucknell claimed first place as an individual at seven-over par (223).
TEAM SCORES:
• Bucknell won the team championship with a three-round total of 911 (47-over par).
• Holy Cross finished with a team total of 968, placing ahead of Monmouth, Eastern Illinois, Southern Indiana, Detroit Mercy and Mercyhurst.
UP NEXT:
• The Crusaders will return to action when they take part in the Kingsmill Intercollegiate at the Kingsmill River Course in Williamsburg, Va., from March 23-24.
