WORCESTER, Mass. — The Holy Cross women's tennis team fell to Providence 4-0 at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility. The Crusaders drop to 1-11 on the season, while the Friars improve to 5-12 overall.
SINGLES PLAY:
• Providence posted wins at the No. 3, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 singles positions to wrap up the overall victory.
• At No. 2 singles, sophomore
Ashley Zilora led Lauren Carson 6-4, 2-6, 2-1, before play was stopped once the overall result had been determined.
DOUBLES ACTION:
• The doubles matches were not contested.
NEXT UP:
• The Crusaders will return to action on Thursday, April 18, when they open up Patriot League Tournament play in Annapolis, Md.
