WORCESTER, Mass. — The Holy Cross women's tennis team hosted Assumption and No. 14 ranked Babson at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility for the Holy Cross Invitational this past Saturday and Sunday.

Senior Maddie Hamm and freshman Hannah Flynn earned two wins apiece for the Crusaders while freshman Mia Romo and sophomore Cadie Sauter made their 2025 debuts.

SATURDAY ACTION (SINGLES PLAY):

• Flynn and Hamm had the only singles victories for the Crusaders as they defeated Assumptions Laurence Bosmans (6-2, 7-6 (7-2)) and Marian Aquirre (5-7, 7-5, 1-0 (10-6)).

SUNDAY ACTION (DOUBLES PLAY):

• In the "B" doubles bracket, sophomore Ava Lannigan and Hamm earned an 8-2 decision over Assumption's Charlotte Sisson and Angie Dobrikovs.
• Flynn and her doubles partner, senior Ashley Zilora collected a 7-6 (7-2) win against an Assumption duo.
• The freshman of Phoebe Devine and Margaret Winiecki upended Daria Trinerova and Bosmans 7-5.

NEXT UP:

• The Crusaders host the Holy Cross Women's Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 27 and Sunday, Sept. 28 at noon.
