The Holy Cross men's basketball team will continue action in the Patriot League Tournament when it travels to Colgate for the quarterfinals on Thursday, March 7, at 7 p.m. The game between the Crusaders and the Raiders will be shown live by the Patriot League on ESPN+.
The No. 9 seed in the Patriot League Tournament, Holy Cross is coming off an 84-68 victory at Army West Point in the first round. The Crusaders currently own an overall record of 10-22, and posted a 6-12 mark in regular season league games. Senior guard
Joe Octave leads the team by averaging 14.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. Junior forward
Caleb Kenney has posted 11.9 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game, while senior guard
Bo Montgomery has added 10.8 points, 4.8 boards and 2.8 assists per contest.
Colgate comes into the game as the No. 1 seed in the Patriot League Tournament. The Raiders stand 22-9 overall this year, and won the conference regular season title with a 16-2 mark against league foes. Sophomore guard Braeden Smith leads the team by averaging 12.2 points, 5.8 assists and 5.2 rebounds per game, while hitting 77.8 percent of his free throws. Senior center Keegan Records has averaged 11.1 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, while senior forward Ryan Moffatt has added 10.8 points and 4.4 boards per contest.
The winner of the Holy Cross-Colgate game will move on to the Patriot League semifinals, facing American or Bucknell on Sunday, March 10.
