Women’s tennis downed by Lafayette

WEST POINT, N.Y. — Junior Caroline Carlson won her match at No. 5 singles, but the Holy Cross women's tennis team was defeated by Lafayette 4-1 at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center. The Crusaders fall to 1-9 on the season, while the Leopards improve to 10-7 overall.

DOUBLES ACTION:
• Lafayette claimed the doubles point with wins at both the No. 1 and No. 2 spots. 

SINGLES PLAY:
• At the No. 5 position, Carlson downed Alexandra Waldman 6-0, 6-3.
• But the Leopards earned victories in the No. 1, No. 3 and No. 4 singles matches to claim the overall victory.

NEXT UP:
• Holy Cross returns to action on Saturday, March 30, when it travels to Boston University for a 4 p.m. match.
