Women’s tennis defeated by New Haven

WEST HAVEN, Conn. — The Holy Cross women's tennis team was defeated by New Haven 6-0 at the New Haven Tennis Courts. The Crusaders fall to 1-6 on the season, while the Chargers improve to 9-3 overall.

DOUBLES ACTION:
• At No. 3 doubles, junior Caroline Fredey and junior Lindsay Riordan defeated Candace Habay and Madi Mabrito 6-0.
• New Haven picked up victories at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots to take the doubles point.

SINGLES PLAY:
• The Chargers posted wins at No. 2, No. 3, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 singles to finish the day.
• In the No. 1 singles match, junior Ahana Nagarkatti was tied with Valentinna Ferrarini 6-1, 2-6, 6-6 before the match was halted due to rain.

NEXT UP:
• The Crusaders will return to action on Friday, March 22, when they travel to Army West Point for a 3 p.m. match.
