WORCESTER, Mass. — The Holy Cross women's tennis team was defeated by Lehigh 4-0 at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility. The Crusaders fall to 1-4 on the season, while the Mountain Hawks improve to 10-3 overall.
DOUBLES ACTION:
• Lehigh began the day by winning all three doubles matches to take the doubles point.
SINGLES PLAY:
• The Mountain Hawks posted wins at the No. 2, 4 and 5 singles positions to finish the day.
• Holy Cross held leads in two of the three remaining singles matches, before play was stopped once the overall result had been determined.
• Junior
Lindsay Riordan was up 6-4, 3-0 on Allyce Gaborik at the No. 3 spot, while sophomore
Maddie Hamm led Hannah Letzer 6-2, 3-0 at No. 6.
NEXT UP:
• The Crusaders will return to action on Saturday, March 16, when they play host to Colgate at 12 p.m.
