WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross head softball head coach Jon Ladino is proud to announce the program's 2024 schedule for the upcoming season. The slate features 51 contests, 33 matchups against non-conference opponents, and 19 games to be played at home on Freshman Field.
The Crusaders begin the year heading to the capital city to take on George Washington (Feb. 15/16) before competing in a round-robin tournament hosted by Furman including Morehead St., Austin Peay and Northern Iowa (Feb. 21-23).
To kick off March, Holy Cross will travel to Saint Peter's for a trio of games on the 1st and 2nd. The Crusaders will then play Georgetown for a single game on Mar. 5. Just two days later, the squad will compete in their final round-robin tournament hosted by UMBC, which will include Cornell and Fairleigh Dickinson (Mar. 7-9).
Holy Cross will head back to the Northeast for an away doubleheader against Yale (Mar. 13) before returning to Freshman Field for a home-opening doubleheader against Siena (Mar. 15) and Brown (Mar. 16) the following day. The Crusaders begin their conference schedule at Lafayette (Mar. 22/23). To finish out the month of March, the team will travel to Stonehill on the 26th for a doubleheader.
To begin the month of April, Holy Cross will take a short trip to Merrimack (Apr. 2) for a doubleheader before heading home for a conference series against the 2024 Patriot League Champions, Boston University (Apr. 5-6).
The squad will stay in Massachusettes for a twin bill with UMass-Lowell (Apr. 8) before heading to New York for a conference series with Army (Apr. 12-13). The Crusaders will then host Rhode Island for a pair of games (Apr. 15) and Lehigh for a conference series (Apr. 19/20). The following weekend they head to Colgate for three final regular season road games (Apr. 26/27).
Holy Cross will remain home for the rest of the regular season, starting with a doubleheader against Quinnipiac (Apr. 30) and a final conference series with Bucknell (May 3/4).
The Patriot League Championships will be held May 8-10.
