The Holy Cross men's basketball team returns home to face Harvard at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4. The contest between the Crusaders and the Crimson will be shown live by the Patriot League on ESPN+. There will be a Holiday Toy Drive to benefit 508 Forever Young this week, where any fan who donates a new, unwrapped toy for kids aged 6-12 can receive a complimentary ticket for admission. In addition, fans can take photos with Santa and the Grinch during the game.
Holy Cross stands 4-4 so far this year, but is currently on a two-game losing streak. Freshman guard
Max Green leads the team by averaging 13.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game, while hitting 43.9 percent of his three-point attempts. Senior forward
Caleb Kenney has added 10.7 points and 2.6 rebounds per contest, while sophomore forward
Joe Nugent is chipping in with 10.6 points and 5.1 boards per game.
Harvard owns an overall record of 2-6 on the year, losing two straight and six of its last seven games. Freshman guard Robert Hinton has led the team by averaging 15.8 points and 4.8 rebounds per game, while making 46.7 percent of his shots from the floor. Junior guard Chandler Pigge has put up 12.8 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest, with sophomore forward Thomas Batties adding 10.0 points and 5.0 boards per game.Â
After the contest with Harvard, Holy Cross will remain at home to face Central Connecticut on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 2 p.m.
