SHELTON, Conn. - The Holy Cross women's rowing team rounded out its fall schedule on Saturday afternoon at the Heart of the Housatonic on the Housatonic River.
 
RESULTS:

• The varsity eight placed third in the 20-boat field with a time of 17:46. The second varsity eight followed them with a time of 18:08, good for fifth overall. The third varsity eight rounded out the Holy Cross results with a time of 18:45, finishing 13^th.
• The varsity four finished second in the 20-boat field with a time of 18:42.9. The second varsity four placed seventh with a time of 19:23.6, and the third varsity four rounded out the field with a 22:53.5.

 
FROM HEAD COACH ANDREA LANDRY:

• "Thank you to Sacred Heart for hosting! I am pleased with today's results, highlighted by the 1V (third) and 2V (fifth) taking two top five finishes of 20 crews in addition to our V4 placing second in a field of 20 crews. Compared to 2023, we brought the margin between our 1V and 3V from over two minutes in 2023 to under one minute today. There were a couple errors made across a few of our crews, but in the body of the race the women moved well together and felt good about their work over 5K. We'll be on the water another week to polish our boat feel in 4+s' before heading indoors in our eight-hour weeks. Looking forward to unlocking new gears in winter 2025. Go Cross Go!"

• Holy Cross will return to action in the spring for the second half of their season.
