The Holy Cross men's basketball team returns home this week to face Lehigh on Saturday, Jan. 27, at 12 p.m. on Coaches vs. Cancer and Health Care Heroes Day. The contest between the Crusaders and the Mountain Hawks will be shown live to a national audience on the CBS Sports Network.
Holy Cross stands 5-15 overall this year with a 2-5 mark in Patriot League play. The Crusaders have won two of their last four games, including an 86-78 victory over Loyola (Md.) last Saturday. Senior guard
Joe Octave leads the team with averages of 15.2 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. Junior forward
Caleb Kenney has posted 11.0 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game, while senior guard
Bo Montgomery has added 9.2 points, 3.8 boards and 2.9 assists per contest, and sophomore guard
Will Batchelder has put up 9.2 points and 1.7 assists per game.
Lehigh has an overall mark of 5-13 on the season, including a 2-5 record in the Patriot League. In their last game, the Mountain Hawks fell to Colgate 60-57 on Monday. Junior guard Tyler Whitney-Sidney leads the team with averages of 14.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. Senior center Dominic Parolin is also enjoying a solid year, averaging 10.5 points and 5.9 boards per contest.
After the contest at American, Holy Cross will remain at home to face Boston University on Monday, Jan. 29 at 7:00 p.m., in the second half of a nationally televised doubleheader with the Crusader women.
