Ahana Nagarkatti all picked up victories in both singles and doubles action, as the Holy Cross women's tennis team defeated Mount Holyoke 7-0 at the Mount Holyoke Tennis Courts. The Crusaders improve to 1-1 on the season, while the Lyons fall to 1-1 overall.
DOUBLES ACTION:
• Holy Cross claimed the doubles point with wins at both the No. 2 and No. 3 spots.
• Lynn and Nagarkatti downed Rachel Allen and Cal Smith 6-1 at No. 2, while Carlson and junior
Courtney Kallas topped Kennedy Bagley-Fortner and Kate Vavra 6-1 at No. 3.
SINGLES PLAY:
• Sophomore
Ashley Zilora led the way with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Annika Chai at No. 1.
• Nagarkatti downed Jaskirat Kaur 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2, while junior
Lindsay Riordan defeated Allen 6-3, 3-6, (10-6) at No. 3.
• Other winners for the Crusaders were Lynn at No. 4 (6-4, 6-1 over Smith), sophomore
Maddie Hamm at No. 5 (6-2, 6-3 over Vavra) and Carlson at No. 6 (6-2, 6-1 over Natali Kostadinovic).
